Tripex lamp

I am a big enthusiast of nice lamps. So when I stumbled across Mackapär, a blog by Ulrika, I got so excited to read about their project. Ulrika and husband are starting up the production of the Triplex Lamp designed in 1919 by JP Johansson. The pictures above showes the end result. Pretty nice I have to say. Can´t wait to find it in store soon. Check out the on going process on her blog. It´s worth a visit!

Sorbet

I´m just melting away, it´s so hot. It´s not that I´m complaining, but a cool sorbet would be fine right now. The first image is a pomegranate sorbet and the third is a blood orange & campari sorbet. Sounds pretty nice don´t you think...  Follow links for recipes.

Heading for the beach

It´s summer, the sun is shining, it´s warm...and I´m at work. Wish I could head for the beach instead.

A garden please

Apart from midsummers eve, I´ve spent most of my time working what´s suppose to be our garden. Right now it doesn´t look anything near a garden though. It´s just a field of dirt, gravel and stones. So, I´m dreaming about the day it´s all finished. When we can sit outside eating breakfast without feeling the mud between our toes. In a year or two...

Feeling blue

Bold deep Klee blue is one of the strongest fashion colours this season. Since fashion and interior goes hand in hand, I´m sure we will see more of this gorgeous colour in our homes soon. Especially nice is this colour when it´s slightly transparent, like the last two photos of Elephant Ceramics. Think indigo and deep denim blue more than 80´s cobolt blue...

Midsummer

Today it´s Midsummers Eve in Sweden. That´s the day of the year when we pick flowers to make a ring on our head. Eat and drink outdoors with our friends and family. Stay up as late as possible to enjoy the light at night. But most of all we party...

A bathroom make-over

As we get on with our house-renovation, we´re finally into the bathroom make-over. Everything will be thrown out, so we can start fresh and get it just the way we like it. The only problem is to make up our minds...so many options and looks to desire. All I know right now is that the light is super important. I´ll do anything to get a large window like on the first photo. And a giant shower with a glass wall. And heated floors. And a double zink in corian. And a wall in walnut.... The list is endless and time is running out. What will we do? I´ll keep you posted.

Setting the table

I´m ashamed to admit it, but during the weedays I eat my "breakfast" at work, in front of the computer. It´s anything but enjoyable... But in the weekends I´m the other way around. Then I try to make it in to a feast, with a beautiful setting and lots to eat.

I just found these lovely photos of an Australian company called attia. "The attia range inspires a warm minimalism that celebrates the human rather than the machine. They promote a living with a simple yet chic palett using multifunctional pieces to inspire natural beauty at the table."

Can´t wait until the weekend breakfast...

A basket urge

There are certain things I´m more obcessed by than others...and baskets is one of these things. I know I´ve written about this before, but now I´m back into a basket urge. Love to use them for storage, laundery and to just move things around the house. I have all the "nature" coloured ones so now I´m looking for a new colour or new shape to enhance my collection.
