Nude pastels

After listening to a lot different trend forcast agencys talking about the next coming trends, it´s easy to see a pattern in what they all predict. One of them is the change in how we see season-colours. They will merge, lighter nude pastels will be important for fall and dark "autumn" colours for spring... So, this post celebrates these nude tones and soft pastels as we come closer to the autumn season.

Orla Kiely

I´m a big admire of Orla Kiely. She is a fantastic graphic designer with amazing prints, but personaly I think she is showing her strength when it comes to colours. Entering her store in London aways brings a smile to my face. So, when I found these great shots of her home, threw the lovely blog French by design, my heart started to beat a little faster. I love the bold accents in glasobjects and furntures mixed with the calm neutrals on the walls. Photos by Chris Tubbs.

Concrete beauty

I´m passionatly in love with raw and rough concrete. I would love to lay concrete in our whole basement, with a coating of wax to give it some lustre. With the raw surface any piece of furniture pops and stand out even more.

Bold accents

It feels like the whole interior world in talking about colours again. Big, bright, bold colours. I have to admit that it´s refreshing after quite some time with lots of white. Althoug I think it´s easy to overdoze with colours if you´re not careful. To many bright colours togheter can often get busy for the eye. Therefor I love these pictures where they have added lots of colours, but in the details instead of on a big piece of furniture. These shots also represents an etnic impression, imperfection and individualism; key words for this season.

Pimping your bathroom

One way of making your bathroom more personal is to place everyday objects in the room. An oriental rug, photos and artwork, books or why not a sofa...

Home of a fashion blogger

In the latest edition of  Residence, Elin Kling (Sweden´s number one fashion blogger) is showing her and her boyfriend Gustafs home. An appartment in the center of Stockholm, that Elin describes as "bohemian chic". Most of the furnitures are brought back from Gustaf´s former home in New York. I love their mix of scandinavian classics, piles of books and amazing selection of shoes.

Lotta & Pia

These are shots, styled by Lotta Agaton and photographed by Pia Ulin exclusively for Lotta´s blog. Lotta is "so in to fluorescent colours right now, not regular strong colours, but neoncolors like little surprising elements to wood white and blacks". That has been the theme for these pictures.

1. The plywoodchair "Tuoli" is a prototype by Fredrik Wallner, glasscube by Eva Lilja Löwenhielm is produced by Asplund and the sculpture comes from Note.
2.The shelf "Ivy" by Thomas Bernstrand is produced by Swedese, sculptures from
Note and the Established & Sonslamps is sold by hos NK Inredning in Stockholm.
3.Stool by
Tom Dixon is distributed by Gulled in Sweden, "Loom" lamp by Benjamin Hubert is produced by Zero.

Cognac, caramel, honey...

I like, love and crave anything in cognac or camel right now. Brown vintage leather mixed with grey concrete and beige cashmir cardigans with dark grey chiffon. And a cognac after dinner....just for the colour.

Brown dress with white dots

Yesterday I had a look at Mia´s lovely blog Solid frog and found some beautiful photos in her post. I had a look at the blog she refered to and got blown away.  Brown dress with white dots (just the name makes me smile) have the most delightful selection of photos with such a warm feel to them. Here I have taken the liberty to make my own collages with some of the pictures I found.
