Summer house dream

I just got back from a wonderful visit at my husbands familys summer house, a beautiful house on an island, far from stress, people and life in general. While driving back, I started to think about how my own "dream summer house" would look like. I think some of these pictures illustrates what I had in mind, daydreaming about it.

Built-ins

I quite like the idea of built-ins. A customized "wall" for the fireplace, TV, books or other items. My husband and I have an obsession with hiding wires and stuff, so building walls like this is the perfect way of just showing the things you want to see.

Fireplace delight

I don´t know what we would do without our fireplace a time like this. Unfortunately it looks nothing like these, but next year we will remodel the fireplace and my dream is something similar to these pictures. I love the contrast between the cold concrete and a hot fire. And mixing things up with warm coloured wood and some cognac tones makes everything look clean but cosy.
