DIY pallet

Using raw material like plywood have been a trend for some time now, and lately I´ve seen lots of pallets used in interior. I especially love the first image that feels modern and contemporary but rustic because the choice of material. It´s great when cheap, availible materials become fasionable, don´t you think?

What´s in your bag - blog battle

The blog Dos Family started a blog battle; What´s in your bag and I found this very funny battle threw Frida´s blog Trendenser. I felt that it´s something I just had to join. Hey, it´s fun. So, this is what ended up on my floor when I turn the bag up side down; my phone of course, a wallet that have been the best investment ever, passport (don´t know why it´s in the bag), the same goes for the paintbrush. Minitoothpaste, sunglasses (beeing used today for the first time this year), a notebook (you never know when a good idea visits), 0,3 inkpencil (can´t write with something else), my headphone, refrigeratormagnets in shape of polaroidframes and a pacifier (for my son). And I wonder why I think my bag is heavy...

Brown dress with white dots

Yesterday I had a look at Mia´s lovely blog Solid frog and found some beautiful photos in her post. I had a look at the blog she refered to and got blown away.  Brown dress with white dots (just the name makes me smile) have the most delightful selection of photos with such a warm feel to them. Here I have taken the liberty to make my own collages with some of the pictures I found.

Childrens room

We have a two year old son, Axel. When we moved in to our house a year ago he got his "own" room. This room has been a caos in style since then and we are now trying to make it look as nice as possible. Here are some of the pictures I have for inspiration. We want to make it as fun as possible but trying to keep things simple and stylish at the same time. I´ll let you know how it goes...

Our DIY project

We are just building a wall in our sons room and this is the inspiration. I love the cubes in wood from the dainish company, WE:DO:WOOD. We are makeing ours in raw plywood with different colours inside.

Patina

This industrial feel of pictures and settings have really got me. It is nice as a contrast to the clean cut scandinavian style that usually inspires me. Organized clutter and patina is really quite beautiful.

Storage

No matter how much space you have, you are always in need of good storage. I am just looking for inspiration to my son's room and thought theese pictures gave me an idea of what to do. Not that I want him to live like in an office or in the military but some of the solutions are quirky in a good way.
