Geometry

I find geometric shapes in artwork quite interesting. The colour combinations become more important since the eye find it easier to follow the shape. In my work as a fashiondesigner I often seek colour inspiration in various places but I always come back to the artworld.

Fireplace delight

I don´t know what we would do without our fireplace a time like this. Unfortunately it looks nothing like these, but next year we will remodel the fireplace and my dream is something similar to these pictures. I love the contrast between the cold concrete and a hot fire. And mixing things up with warm coloured wood and some cognac tones makes everything look clean but cosy.

Daybed

I have a thing for daybeds. Especially the old used brown leather ones. I think it would look great at home in our livingroom. Its so big that we need large furniture to fill out some of the space. But my only question is; how do you use it? It does not look very inviting to lay on. They are usually very low which makes it uncomfortably to sit on a longer period of time. Is a daybed something that looks nice, but tha ís all? I don´t know, I still want one...

I have always been quite lazy in the evenings. At the most I watched TV or surfed on the internet. But since we moved to this house we transform our kitchen in into a studio every evening. As soon as our son goes to bed we bring out all our paint and brushes. We both paint but in completly different styles.

I have always had a dream about living in a wearhouse, like the ones in american movies. Large windows, high celing and a elevator straight in to the livingroom, I´m sure you know what I mean. Of course that dream is very far from the 70´s house with extreme renovation needs we bought a year ago. But some day... Meanwhile I spend time enjoying homes like this. Delfin & Postigo´s home in Madrid is the perfect mix of a large clean industrial space, contemporary artwork and retro furnitures. I would love to own some of the items in their home: lamps from Serge Mouille, chairs from Charlotte Perriand or artwork from Louise Bourgeois. It´s a good thing christmas is coming soon....
