Finnish graphics

Sorry for my blog silence but long days at the beach have kept me from my computer and I can´t think of a better excuse right now...

Althoug when I found this home I could not resist to show you. Homes from Finland tend to have a clean, graphic style, at least that is my conclusion from fishish bloggs (have unfortunally never been to Finland). I really like their estetics and this lovely home is no exception. It´s Suki, the owner of the finish blog Varpunen, who just moved in to their new home and this is what it looks like. I love the black and white mixed with some bright blue and red. If I can get ahold of that red apple, I´m a happy girl.

DIY rug

I´m on holiday skiing right now and my mission is to stay away from the computer, but then I stumbled across these lovely photos at French by design and I could not resist showing them to you. As I´ve mention before, I love concrete floors and this is a fantastic way to make them more personal. Why not paint your own rug on the floor? I just love this idea, don´t you?

Rugs for me

Scholten & Baijings have made some really nice rugs for danish HAY. For some reason they remind me of the modern textil craft one often see in modern churches. I like the colours and modern graphics and wouldn´t mind one for the livingroom.
