Wooden bathroom

There is nothing new with using wood in outdoor showers, you can acctually see it quite often. But I think I see a new trend in using wood in the indoor bathrooms. At first it was a contrast wall in wood, then a bathtub in wood and now I find photos of all wooden bathrooms. What do you think, is it a trend that will stay or will it fade as quickly as it came?

Simplicity

Summer life is all about simplicity. Refrain yourself from anything unnecessary and just live life as simple as you can. Today we have been out in the forest all day, picking mushrooms and the meal we´ve had sharing them was fantastic. Moments like that will become memories to cherish.

Concrete beauty

I´m passionatly in love with raw and rough concrete. I would love to lay concrete in our whole basement, with a coating of wax to give it some lustre. With the raw surface any piece of furniture pops and stand out even more.

São Paolo bachelor pad

This trendy modern apartment is located in the West side of São Paulo and is the living quarters of a successful bachelor who wishes to reside near his company headquarters. The owner, FJ is a young DJ and entrepreneur and the the place is designed and renoveted by Studio Guilherme Torres. The apartment was a typical 1980´s flat and in desperate need of renovation. I love how they have integrated the lights into the walls and ceilings. The surface of concrete all over the place brings a contemporary feel which brings the best out of the impressive photos.

New York townhouse

Templer Townhouse is a renovation made by Workshop For Architecture.  The company was established in 2003 as a collaborative design and research studio. This project included the garden, parlor and basement levels of a brick townhouse in the west Chelsea neighborhood of New York. The primary intention of the design was reconnect the garden level spaces with the exterior while creating more open living spaces throughout incorporating minimalist details. Home of a fashion blogger

In the latest edition of  Residence, Elin Kling (Sweden´s number one fashion blogger) is showing her and her boyfriend Gustafs home. An appartment in the center of Stockholm, that Elin describes as "bohemian chic". Most of the furnitures are brought back from Gustaf´s former home in New York. I love their mix of scandinavian classics, piles of books and amazing selection of shoes.

I´m still in the search for the perfect bathroom and it doesn´t seam to exsit (of course it does but I haven´t found it yet). We want it to be fresh, warm and minimalistic yet with a personal touch. I really like the colourpalett on these bathroom pictures and maybe I´ll borrow a detail or two...

Still thinking about bathrooms

After writing about my search for bathroom-inspiration,  I spoke to a friend about the matter. We both thought most bathrooms looks the same and not very personal. So now I have tried to find some new ideas with focus on personal details. I still want to make the bathroom in offwhite and concrete but adding contrast materials and colours will hopefully make the room feel warm and inviting.
