Shades of grey

It is not always the most obvious beauty that last the longest. Sometimes pieces of everyday life can be stunning, if you look at them with an open eye.

Florence

When I came to Florence today and got in to my room, this was the view that I got. A big difference from the snowy, cold morning I left in Sweden. I am staying at the Gallery Hotel Art and so far I am very pleased. A nice room in cream, cognac, turqoise and brown. Very good service and everything else one can wish for. The only problem is that I am here by myself... Can not wait until tomorrow when my dear friend Anna will come and stay with me.

Location 78

Location78 is a house in east London designed and styled for photographic location. It is owned by Graham  & Jo Atkins-Hughe and I think it is absolutely fantastic. Especially the dark grey walls, celings and floors mixed with the splash of colour here and there. A flirt with 70´s furniture in a modern and cool space. I am definitely going to try some mustard, jade green and orange at home...

See you later...

Well, I am off to Florence for a couple of days. Hopefully I will come back home with lots of  inspiration for wonderful things and the stomac filled with lovely food and wine. Ciao.

Vintage life

I am torn between different styles. The modern, contemporary look with clean-cut lines and fresh white colours has always appealed to me but I also keep a special place in my heart for the vintage industrial-design. I think these two opposites can be interesting together and I always look for new ways to combine them. I am hunting old lamps on internet, finding old arcitect-tables in citis far away and stools in other countries. It is the search for unique items that inspires me...

Cleaver paper

Via: etsy

As I wrote earlier there is a trend in making art items in paper. This is just another great exampel of beautiful things paper and books can convert to. My love for mobiles combined with paper as material makes this an item for my christmas list.
