Organized?

I so wished I could say: "Yes" to that question...but I can´t. My office is organized and neat for about an hour after cleaning, and then "artistic disorder" returnes. But I have a thing for office supplies. Whenever I go to Japan I buy cool clips in new shapes, tape holder in teak, stylish pens, beautiful note books and other good looking things to keep me organized. It doesn´t help...but at least I surround myself with lovely items.

An eye for fashion

Certain artists have a fantastic way of describing fashion. My all time favorite is Swedish Mats Gustafsson, who is a genius with watercolours and capturing the air of a catwalk. Another lovely illustrator (and blogger) is French Garance Doré. Here I´m showing you a variation of four different artists, all with their own style.

A penthouse in Paris

Visiting one of my favorite blogs, Solid frog, is always a delight. Today was no exception when I found this
lovely Parisian attic apartment owned by the australian designer Martin Grant. I love the mix of vintage and modern, and look at the last photo...the garden outside!! So next time I go to Paris, this is a door to knock on. Photo by Birgitta Wolfgang Drejer via ‟Vårt nya hem‟

A Melbourne home with personality

Designer Mariana Garcia-Katz and her family lives in this stunning home in Melbourne. The place is filled with mid-century furniture, like the fantastic Eames DCM plywood dining chairs and the Geroge Nelson platform bench coffe table. I love the colours inside the house and the rust together with the greens outdoors.

Today´s wish list...again

Something strange happened last night. The blog didn´t work and suddenly the last post disappeared... So, here we go again. I have an obsession with beautiful things, especially when it comes to interior. When I start to crave something I just can´t get it out of my mind. This is my latest wish list of items to possess. Objects of desire... For a while ago I fell in love with this beautiful little chair; "Frost-Lounge" chair designed by the danish duo FurnID. And forever I´ve had my eyes on "Potence" lamp by Jean Prouvé, a classic that never goes out of style. The second chair is "to die for", Paulistano Chair by Paulo Mendes da Rocha. Last but not least, Pompom by swedish designer Lisa Hilland, I´m sure it will become a design-classic in the future. Sublime shape and decor, an item that will just become more beautiful with use. What´s on your wish list?

The Coveteur

I know I´ve written about this before but some things deserve to be repeated, so;
The Coveteur has a unique way of showing peoples closets...no minimalism what so ever. It´s usually photos of peoples personal belongings. Shoes, bags and dresses are frequently beeing a part of the installation. And of course the owners of these items are not just anyone. Well-known people in the fashion or art world are the objects of inspection.

This time the table have been turned. Erin Kleinberg and Stephanie Mark are the Toronto-based closet peepers behind the blog thecoveteur.com. Since they went live, Kleinberg and Mark have granted fashion obsessives entree into the closets of others and now we take an exclusive look behind their closet doors.
I love how they have mixed in vibirant art in all the shots. It makes it so much more interesting...

Theses are shots from The Covetur looking in to Jeannie Lee´s closet (owner of Satine in Los Angeles). Fantastic picture with the luxury accessories on the fire hose and the ring on the collection of dolls.
