Something old - something new, in a perfect match

This is in my eyes the perfect combination of something old and traditional mixed with ultramodern. It is a project designed by Bruno Erpicum, and is located in the countryside of Belgium.

New Year Eve setting

I´m thinking lots and lots of candles, old silverwear and plain linnen napkins...

Glam or chic

Tomorrow is the big night for dressing up. What will you be wearing?

Certain homes, places and pictures have an special ambiance. It´s that stylish yet relaxed feeling that is hard to put in to words. I think it is the mix of very personal items, not being afraid of showing who you are, together with a soft colourpalette. The pictures above are perfect examples of what I mean.

I am a vase collector

I have an obsession when it comes to vases. Wherever I go around the world I try to find the new perfect vase. It has now become a collecion of at least a hundred vases in all different shapes and sizes. The favorite ones are from the 50´s and smoky coloured... I like to place lots of them together, using grass or weeds instead of flowers. I have even used dill or other vegetables. Anything works in a beautiful vase!

It´s nice to see that I´m not the only one obcessed with collection pictures and making moodboards.

Vacation please

I don´t know about you, but I could really use a vacation right now. Driving to work when it´s still dark, when back home with the same colour on the sky. So, right now Hotel Boca Chica in Mexico is where I would like to be, more than ever. I love the interior and I´m sure I would love the weather...

Happy colours a grey day

I just found this Australian based company called inaluxe, with some really nice artwork. The owners Kristina Sostarko and Jason Odd have a great philosophy: 'make it beautiful, use the best materials possible, and be responsible and sustainable in production practice'.  The prints made me so happy with all the colours...something I need this grey day.

Home office, dream & reality

Yet another collection of pictures with inspiration for the homeoffice. We spend a lot of our time in our workspace at home and it has become the favourite room. We´ve placed it in the center of the house with an open planning, in the middle of all "action" (childern playing, food been cooked...). A couple of weeks ago we went to Stockholm to pick up an old arcitect-table and now we use it for our paintings. I put pictures all around the walls for inspiration. This is what is looks like right now (and it is a work in progress):

Bathroom inspiration

Via: Archdaily, Home designing, Remodelista, Pinterest & Designsponge

We are planing a total renovation of two bathrooms next year. At the moment I am looking everywere for inspiration for these rooms and it´s not as easy as I hoped. These are some of the photos on my moodboard but if anyone have ideas of where to find inspiration, please let me know! I like the mix of raw concrete, cream and dark grey stonecolours, together with dark wood. I would love a ceiling-window abow the shower but that is never going to happen... So, please give me a tip or two!
