Faded colours

Sertain colours are more than others linked to the Scandinavian style of interior. I find these washed out, faded blues and greys together with white being synonymous with Scandinavia, or what do you think? Material like concrete, wood, cotton knits and linnen looks lovely in this colour range, and that is what I find beautiful in these photos.

Bohemian pleasure

Some days I just wish I could walk around in the garden all day, dressed in a velvet robe, sipping a martini and maybe write some poetry or do some pottery. Instead I get on the train and sit in an office. So, what´s wrong with a litte daydreaming...

Pieces of my home

I´ve gotten some mail with questions about my own home and why I don´t show any pictures here on the blog. So here are some snapshots I took a while ago (yes, they have been seen on the blog before...). My home is a large renovation area and I would love to show more but that just have to wait. For you who are interested, I´ve places a smal post on the right hand with more photos from home and also some of my paintings.

Day Home

I just fell in love with Day Home´s new fall collection. It fantastic to see the honey coloured velvet mixed with the dusty blues and lavender. And the photos are filled with such an autumn feeling that I almost long for yellow leaves and cold mornings.

Sliding doors

We´ve just decided to put sliding doors in our kitchen. I think it will be absolutely great with a glas wall and a patio right outside (like on the third photo), perfect for summer breakfast or a sunny lunch. Unfortunally this will not become a reality until next year so now I just dream about it...

Nude pastels

After listening to a lot different trend forcast agencys talking about the next coming trends, it´s easy to see a pattern in what they all predict. One of them is the change in how we see season-colours. They will merge, lighter nude pastels will be important for fall and dark "autumn" colours for spring... So, this post celebrates these nude tones and soft pastels as we come closer to the autumn season.

Missoni collaboration

I just stumbled across some sneak peek photots of Missoni´s upcoming collaboration with Target. The collection is including both homewear and clothes. These are my personal favorites, a coxy blanket, some cute babygear and the laptop cover. Apart from these four items, nothing else in the collection made me excited. It looked like Missoni copies and had nothing interesting to say. What do you think of collaborations? Are they a great way to let "ordinary people" buy luxury items or is it distroying the brand by exploiting their name?

Summer is drifting

Summer is slowly leaving us. It´s still nice and warm but the evenings are getting shorter and the air is a bit cooler. I also see a difference in the light, its more grey than yellow. I´m doing my best to take advantage of every second, either with a long walk by the sea or on the terass with a book. Only wished I had a Gaucho inspired blanket to wrap around my shoulders...

Wooden bathroom

There is nothing new with using wood in outdoor showers, you can acctually see it quite often. But I think I see a new trend in using wood in the indoor bathrooms. At first it was a contrast wall in wood, then a bathtub in wood and now I find photos of all wooden bathrooms. What do you think, is it a trend that will stay or will it fade as quickly as it came?

Room for a boy

My never ending project is my sons room. We have bougt the colour and built the shelfs but then our energy ended and nothing more has been done. So, hopefully I will get started soon again to finish what will be Axels own space (even if he thinks the whole house is his to sprinke toys all over). The base will be white and pale aqua with accents in bold colours. My nex DIY will be to make posters for the walls and hopefully Axel will help me. Or maybe I paint some tires and turn them into a table. To be continued...
