Instagram vacation

As you might have guessed I am on vacation and therefor not the most active of bloggers. Spending the days on an island is fantastic and if you are interested about what I do, then please follow me at Instagram. As alias designbird of course...

Summer mood

 Apart from spending time with family, good food and relaxation are key ingredients for a great summer. I love to cook, especially at this time of the year. Here are some of my favorites; grilled scallops with dill oil, cucumber sandwiches or homemade pizza with artichoke.

I just got back from the hairdresser, looking like always. Sometimes I wish I had the courage (and the face) to carry a short hairdo. But I am a wimp...

Pastel pretty

I know I´ve talked about pastels a hundred times already but I just got so inspired by this really fresh selection of fashion shots from Marie Claire Australia. So I say it again: fashion and interior goes hand in hand when it comes to colour.

Copper

I have a thing for copper, or 'rose gold' as the fashion world like to call it. "Dear things have many names" as we say in Sweden. Nevermind, I just like it a lot. Especially when you mix it with cream leather as on the bike or with raw wood as on candelholder. They can move in any time... Just saying.

Vacation dreams

I´ve promised myself not to complain about the never ending rain, but I just can´t help myself. Get me away from here...now...please! Desperate to see some sunlight, I´ve been surfing on the net like a mad man. And I found heaven on earth; San Giorgio in Mykonos, Greece. I´m thinking; a book and a bikini, and I am all set to go. At least this plan would work in my head, maybe not in real life. So, rainy Sweden, lets spend the summer together...

Blogger´s Inn

Ah, I´m finally back after a few days of major internet disconnection. During my absence online, I´ve been to a really nice press-breakfast for the new Bloggers Inn room at Scandic Rubinen in Gothenburg. It´s a room especially designed for bloggers. Filled with all the technology one can require but also with great comfort and design. Frida Ramstedt at Trendenser have been in charge of the consept and execution. As the great talent as she is the result was great. Lots of personal touches that makes a nice hotelroom become fantastic.

Missing the sun

Ok, I live in Sweden, not in Brazil, but seriously...where is the sun? This isn´t funny anymore. I don´t want to play hide and seak. A grey sky and a jacket, is sooo not June. So in it´s absent, I give myself and all of you some sunny yellow to get things started.

Blog your dreams

A few days ago Tant Johanna sent out a blog challenged, to show your dreams in images. We have bought our dream home, the problem is just that it doesn´t look anything like we want it to. We have a misstreated 70´s house and our mission for the next few years is to create something like the images above. As you can see we have a lot of work ahead of us.

Sweden

It´s the Swedish national day today. We haven´t had our national day as a 'holiday' for very long so no one have yet made any traditions especially for this day. At work we were all a bit confused what to do a day like this. What to eat, were to go etc. For me it´s been a lazy day in the sun. Perfect.
