Lazy days in the sun

We just got back from a couple of great days visiting family at Hamburgö, a small picturesque island on the Swedish west coast. Days filled with sun, spent on the beach and then some great meals on the porch. It´s days like these I have to remember when it´s winter time and not so nice...

Ocean blue

Nothing is as fresh as blue and white together, especially this time of the year. Makes me what to go down to the ocean and take a swim. That´s what I will do today! I hope you all have a wonderful time in the sun.

Good bye office

Today is my first day of four weeks V A C A T I O N.!! It´s absolutely wonderful to have all this time with my family and not spend another sunny day at the office. Good bye work, see you in a while.

Because I started a new job this year, made big reparations on the house and have had lots to do in general, things have been pretty hectic until now. So, this years holiday includes no plans what so ever. We will just relax and enjoy ourselfs. Hopefully with lots of dinners with friends and many days at the beach of course. What will you be doing this summer?

Bring the colours outdoors

I love these photos with all the bold colours brought outdoors. Why keep the garden neutral when you can make it pop like this? I would smile all day if I could spend some time in this place.

Orange

After seen all that orange on the catwalks I´ve turned in to a beliver in this colour. Then I went to Cos in London, and was shocked when I ran in to meter after meter with orange garments. Something have changed... It´s no longer a 70´s colour with bad memories, but a bold fashion statment that feels fresh and new. Go orange, I know I will.

Concrete flower

Thai designer Decha Archjananun has made a series of vases with concrete bases to hold water and wire frames to support flower stems. The concrete parts sit within each steel frame and weigh the pieces down to prevent them toppling over. Called Weight Vases, the collection comprises different shapes for different types of flower arrangement. Archjananun developed the project while studying at the Ecole Cantonale d’art de Lausanne (ECAL). I like.

Summer house

A summer house to die for... Right now our garden is full of gravel and I´m dreaming about sitting on the terrace, enjoying the silence. That will not be happening in this house until next year but during that time I can always dream about this "little cottage". Simple and perfect.

Beach picnic

There is nothing I love more than spending the day at the beach with my family and some great food. Everything just taste so much better. I´ve invested in some really nice plates, glasses and containers to make the picnic a feast even for the eye. Just add some sun and off we go...
